What is Jagratha Samithi?
Jagratha Samithi is a local-level protection system functioning to safeguard the rights of women and children, ensure their physical and mental safety, and prevent atrocities, discrimination, exploitation, and social exclusion.
🎯 Objectives & Goals
- Prevent violence, exploitation, and discrimination against women and children.
- Take immediate intervention on received complaints and ensure necessary assistance.
- Coordinate with the District Jagratha Samithi, Women's Commission, and legal aid agencies.
- Deliver women and child protection schemes and government services to the public.
- Create a safe and equal social environment.
- Strengthen community collectives and social support systems.
- Ensure social monitoring and active interventions for the safety of women and children.
