📝 Procedure to Obtain Information
① Application
Submit an application to the PIO of the concerned public authority.
② Fee
Pay the prescribed application fee (usually ₹10).
③ Response
Information must be provided within 30 days.
④ Urgent Information
Information concerning life and liberty must be provided within 48 hours.
⚖️ Appeal Mechanism
- 📌 First appeal can be filed within 30 days if information is not received.
- 📌 Second appeal can be filed if the response received is unsatisfactory.
- 📌 State or Central Information Commission can be approached.
